As Australia chose to bat first, Captain Aron Finch and Alex Carey came as an opening pair. They scored 20 runs as the first wicket stand. Aaron Finch was the first to get out. He has bowled out in the bowling of Bhuvneshwar. The second wicket was of Alex Carey just adding another 6 runs on to the board. He was out in the bowling of Shami, Dhawan took the catch (26-2).

Next was Usman Khawaja to get out scoring 21, a swift action from Jadeja made him run out. He had a good partnership with Peter Handscomb.

The highlight of the Australia innings is Shaun Marsh Century. He scored his century 107 balls. He was out caught by Ravindra Jadeja in the bowling of Bhuvi @ 131.

Australia has scored 298 runs in their 50 overs. in Indian bowling, Bhuvi has taken 4 wickets, Shami has taken 3 wickets and Jadeja took 1 wicket. Siraj was expensive with 76-o in his 10 overs without a wicket. Kuldeep had a bit of bad luck, he did not get any wicket.

Reliable opening pair Dhawan and Rohit took the charge. Initially, it was Dhawan who took the charge and showed his intention with playing good cricketing shots. He was out scoring 32 runs in just 28 balls. The second wicket to fall is of Rohit Sharma. He had a good partnership with Captain Kohli. He got out when the score was 101. He scored 43 in just 52 balls.

It was bad luck for Ambati Rayudu. He got a great opportunity to prove his batting skills. He got out for 24 runs. Next came Dhoni. Virat Kohli and Dhoni constructed the innings well. They had a good partnership. Kohli was at his best. Kohli scored yet another century.

Kohli got out on 104 when India was 242. Dinesh Kartik came and had a Cameo. He scored very important runs. He scored 25 runs in just 14 balls. Dhoni also chipped in with a brilliant 55 which helped India to win the second Match.
