India Vs West Indies 3rd ODI. In the first match Windies lost the game to India, In a nail-biter finish in the second ODI the Match was tied. In the 3rd Match, the result was in favor of West Indies.

India after winning the toss chose to field. This time India is playing with 5 specialist bowlers. Indian main seamers Bhuvaneshwar and Bumrah both are playing and India latest spin duo Chahal and Kuldeep. India also played Khaleel the pace bowler.

It seems good decision from Kohli’s team to bowl first. Indians restricted Windies for just 283.  Bowlers bowled really good.  Bhuvaneshwar was a bit expensive by giving 70 runs for one wicket from his 10 overs. Bumrah was the pick of the bowlers he took 4 wickets in his quota of 10 overs with conceding just 35 runs. Chahal and Kuldeep also contributed by taking 1 and 2 wickets simultaneously. Khaleel also contributed with one wicket.

In the West Indies batting, it was again the Hope who performed the best. He scored 95 runs in 113 balls with 3 fours and 3 sixes. Other highlights in the batting was Shimron Hetmyer hit 37 in 21 balls with 2 fours and 3 sixes, Nurse scored 40 of just 22balls with 4 fours and 2 sixes( this made the difference).

India had a hot and cold day on the field, with Rohit pulling off a couple of superb catches at first slip in addition to Dhoni’s stumping and catching behind the stumps,

It was a mixed day for Indians in the field. It was Dhoni who took an amazing running catch and later Rohit took a couple of stunning catches. Team India gave unnecessary runs as overthrows.

India started their run chase with the opening batting pair Rohit and Dhawan. Rohit was bowled out by Holder for just 8 runs. Shikhar Dhawan disappointed scoring just 35 runs in 45 balls. He was out lbw in Nurse Bowling. Virat Kohli showed his class again and scored his 38 century in the match. He is first Indian Captain to score consecutive centuries in ODIs. Sangakkara was leading the table with 4 consecutive centuries.

Ambati Rayudu, Rishab Pant, and MS.Dhoni failed to score winning runs for India. They were out for fewer scores.

Indian team has to get some good batsmen in the middle and one allrounder.  

This was the third match in which Windies won the match by 43 runs.
