For everyone’s surprise, Mohammed Siraj’s name was announced for Australia One day Series and New Zealand Tour, as Jusprit Bumrah is rested. India will play 3 ODI with Australia in Australia. Mohammed Siraj bowling is right-handed and he is a seamer.
The BCCI in their statement said “Keeping in mind the workload of the bowler, it was best felt to give him adequate rest ahead of the home series against Australia. Mohammed Siraj will replace Bumrah in the squad for the Australia and New Zealand tour.”
The statement also said that “Punjab pacer Siddarth Kaul has also been drafted into the squad for the three-match T20I series against New Zealand.”
Virat Kohli the Indian Captain responded “It’s important to take care of these guys especially manage workloads, that’s going to be our priority going forward. But even more so, finding three more guys who can bowl as fast as and as relentless as these guys.”
India will play three ODIs against Australia from Saturday, Jan 12th, later move to New Zealand for a five-ODI and three-T20I which starts from January 23.
Siraj is the young cricket player from Hyderabad. He plays for Indian National Team and also for Royal Challengers Bangalore. He started playing from the young age. He comes from a poor family. His father is an Auto Driver.
